Finding the Still Point in Uncertainty
An Evening Talk with Jody Hojin Kimmel, Sensei

Friday, 9 January 2026
7pm–8.15pm
The Quaker Centre, 217 Ferry Rd, Christchurch

“At the still point of the turning world, there the dance is.” — T.S. Eliot

Change and uncertainty are fundamental truths — it’s what is happening. How is it to move with uncertainty, not as something forced upon us by the world or our circumstances, more as a choice? Join us for this public Dharma talk to explore, through story, Zen teaching, and a breath of stillness, how we might pause, reconnect, and remember what does not move.

This event is one of two teachings with Hojin Sensei in Christchurch, the other being a workshop held at the Opawa Zendo on Saturday, January 10th.

No registration is required, but you can indicate your intent to join us by emailing: christchurch@zen.org.nz
