Whether you were born in Hungary or you have a Hungarian grandmother or are just curious about things Hungarian, join us for a fun and relaxed afternoon with the Hungarian community – and traditional dance.
This will be a relaxed event with a chance to watch a professional dancer and also learn some Hungarian dance, have a go, chat, and eat. Beginners and non-participants welcome.
Norbert Rencz, a professional folk dancer from Budapest currently in Sydney with the Kengugró Folk Dance Group, will be coming to Christchurch on Saturday, 11 July to be the guest teacher for a Táncház. He will be assisted in Christchurch by Petra Lipoth from Auckland.
Snacks, water, tea, and coffee will be provided. Feel free to bring your alternative beverage if that is not to your taste. Also feel free to bring finger food to share (something that can be eaten off a bread and butter plate with no more than a fork).
Date: Saturday 11 July, 3-6pm
Venue: 11 Hardy Street, New Brighton, Christchurch
Cost: aged 12 and over $5
Under 12 with paying adult Free
