This free and fully accessible event is a Circability initiative to create a platform for Maori games and Circus arts to meet and merge through the combining ingredients of playfulness and community.
Kanohi Kitea will help with developing ongoing whanaungatanga hui and partnerships that explore the aspirations and relationships between Toi Māori practitioners, Whare Tapere and Social Circus arts.
Begining at 10 am, the flow of activities will include:
– Mihi Whakatau
– Share kai
– Workshops
– Games
– Performances, and more!
Workshops will include Whare Tapere – traditional Māori games and entertainment, as we explore the intersection of these two art forms.
The sharing of kai will give us opportunities for kōrero and relationship building in the middle of the day, and finish with a closing karakia.
The Ōtautahi Circability Hub looks forward to sharing this event with you….
