Get your friends and whānau together to celebrate the 43rd year at our city’s dazzling fireworks extravaganza, featuring the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra.
Gather up your friends and whānau to enjoy a stunning, special Valentine’s Day themed evening of colourful, creative and crowd-pleasing entertainment for all those who love open-air music!
No picnic? Onsite food vendors will offer a range of yummy kai.

This is a FREE, all ages event
Entertainment from 6.25pm & main show 7.30pm
Fireworks will start at approx 9.40pm
Bring a picnic, or grab a bite to eat from the food trucks on-site. No glass please
Bike stands will be located in Hagley Park opposite the roundabout over the Armagh Street
Mobility parking will be on Chester Street West (off Park Terrace) from 2pm. A mobility pass must be visible to gain access.
An accessible viewing area is located next to the Front of House sound desk, with signage in place to point the way.
There will be a drop-off point on between Armagh Street and Chester Street East on the Cathedral Grammar side.
The botanic gardens’ Armagh Street car park will be closed to incoming traffic from 3.30pm. There are thousands of parks in and around the city. You can find them here – ccc.govt.nz
