Ōruapaeroa – Travis Wetland Community Planting Event

An open invitation is extended for the public to join Trees for Canterbury, to participate in a ‘planting event’, with the Travis Wetland Trust and the Regional Park Rangers of the Christchurch City Council.

This public event is to be held on Saturday October 18th at Lake Kate Shepherd in Christchurch. There will be a public planting of over 1000 native plants to continue work in the Totara-Matai forest planting area.

Location – Lake Kate Sheppard.
Car parking will be in the red zone;
Travis Road to Atlantis Street and Chimera Crescent.
Then 5 minute walk to the site.

No Parking on New Brighton Road.

Bring along family, friends and a spade.
Please bring gloves and wear gumboots if possible!

There will be a BBQ for volunteers after the event, and portable toilets on site.
