It’s paw‑ty time for the canine community!
To celebrate the end of the summer pool season, we’re unleashing the fun at Waltham Summer Pool! Dog parents can bring their pups along for a splash and play on Sunday 29 March.
Session Times
Attend the appropriate paw‑ty session based on your pooch’s size. Each session is 90 minutes:
– 9am-10.30am – Small Dogs (up to 46cm)
– 11am-12.30pm – Medium Dogs (46cm to 64cm)
– 1pm-2.30pm – Large Dogs (over 64cm)
– 3pm-4.30pm – Open Dog Session (no size limit)
Entry fee: $4.00 per dog. Limit: One dog per owner, please.

Microchipping
Free microchipping will be offered on site by the Christchurch City Council Animal Management Team for any Christchurch‑registered dogs that aren’t currently microchipped.
Vaccinations & Health Guidelines
– All attending dogs must be vaccinated.
– If your dog becomes sick or injured during or after the event, the Council takes no responsibility.
– If your pooch has been unwell or had diarrhoea within the past week, please stay home to help keep other dogs safe.
– Owners must maintain full control of their dog at all times and are expected to manage any bad behaviour.
– A maximum of 150 dogs are allowed in the venue at any time.
– Once capacity is reached, dogs will need to wait until another dog leaves before entering.
– Owners are responsible for cleaning up their dog’s mess.
– Strictly no humans in the water – dogs only.
Rain or shine, the event will go ahead.
