When you, or someone you love, hears the words “you have cancer”, it’s one of the darkest moments in life. But you don’t have to face it alone.

Join us for a magical 5km lantern walk through Hagley Park, where every light carried represents a life touched by blood cancer. We walk to keep the memory of our loved ones burning bright. We walk to shine a ray of hope for those facing their darkest moments. We walk to light the path toward a brighter future.

Blood Cancer NZ’s Shine for a Cure is about turning helplessness into hope, loneliness into connection, and uncertainty into action — funding life-saving research and support at every step of the journey. When we come together as a community, we bring more people out of the dark.
