Launching this November 13th!! The Auricle Listening Lounge is a relaxed space for anyone interested in or making sonic art/experimental/unconventional music to gather. Held in the relaxing Toi Auaha lounge in the central city, it’s a place to listen to each other’s ideas and projects, converse and catch-up with like minded folk, and share any music you’re finding exciting.
Sound equipment will be available to play recorded excerpts of projects from anyone who wants to share. We may kick things off with an artist sharing a short presentation a current or recent project, with informal conversations then unfolding to a soundtrack of anything attendees would like to share, both digitally and on vinyl.
The Auricle Listening Lounge is open to all, and if there’s enough initial support, we hope will become a regular drop in event every second Thursday of the month. Gold coin donation for the room hire, BYO snacks and drinks.
