The purpose is to brightly support safe cycling in Christchurch, for commuters, kids riding to school and for all recreational cyclists. And to be cool – very cool.
This is our 15th year.
Meet inside the Park at the Armagh Street Mickle Gates from 5pm for a 5.30pm start. We then follow each other single file on our bicycles around the paths of North Hagley park.
This is a family-friendly event but organisers urge that you ride with your children as it is pretty dark after 5.30pm.
Bling out your bike, helmet and person with as many lights as you can.
We ride counter clockwise around the park on the shared use paths and on the new cycleways. Riders disperse on their own at the end of the ride. Or join us at Pegasus Arms
Event will be held rain or snow or wind or hail or a nice warm evening. ( in case of really severe weather, an announcement will be posted here by 4pm on the 21st).
